The Boston Bandits wasted no time in securing their win against the Merrimack Valley Maulers on Sunday night. Ty Brooks intercepted the first of 5 interceptions on the night, giving the Bandits the ball on their own 49 yard line. JT Harold took the first handoff 51 yards for a quick Bandit lead. He would surpass that carry when he took his second touch on the ensuing possession 80 yards for a 14-0 Bandit lead. Ty Brooks intercepted his second pass and lateralled it to Alvin Edwards who returned it 75 yard for another Bandit score, placing the lead at the half at 20-0. The Bandits match their 1^st half scoring in the third quarter as Daryl Hodge took a reverse 70 yards for a score; Mike Murray found Dave Racca for a 24 yard touchdown reception; then the play of the night came when Ty Brooks intercepted his third pass of the game and returned it 103 yards, giving the Bandits a 40-0 advantage after three quarters. The Bandits’ defense had held the Maulers in check all night behind Anthony Musto’s sack, Daniel Rose’s blocked punt and interceptions by Alvin Edwards and Daryl Hodge. The Maulers finally broke through in the fourth for a score placing the final at 40-7. The Bandits (4-0) next travel to the Worcester Wildcats (3-2) Saturday, August 20^th at 6:30PM at Foley Stadium in Worcester.
